Cheerleaders booty shaking.
I realize cheerleaders are supposed to be half naked eye candy, but this story is kinda making me sick.
A cheerleader from a Nebraska elementary school was thrown off the school’s junior cheerleading squad because she refused to “shake her booty.” The age of the cheerleader in question? 11.
The cheer calls upon Faylene and younger members of the squad — including some in the second grade — to turn their backs to the bleachers, bend over, and move their pelvises from side to side.
Now, the thing that bothers me isn’t that she was kicked from the cheerleading squad, because I can understand that if you refuse to perform cheers you can’t be part of the squad. What I find disturbing is that junior cheerleading turned so borderline sexual. Asking second graders to bend over and shake their butts for the spectators? What the hell…
And don’t even try to argue that “booty shaking” while bent over isn’t sexual, because it’s just too obvious that it is. The cheerleaders in the above pic are doing it, and it doesn’t get more sexual than that.
