As revealed in this Apple internal memo, the company’s official stance regarding the recent MACDefender malware affecting OSX users is to pretend everything’s fine. What that means is, if a user believes his machine is infected and contacts Apple support for assistance, Apple’s support representatives are not allowed to “confirm or deny whether a customer’s Mac is infected or not,” nor “provide support or assistance in removal or diagnosis of malware.”

So if you’re an Apple customer whose computer is infected and you’re not savvy enough to remove the malware yourself, Apple’s message to you is “f*ck you, we’ve already got your money!”
