Oops, we died.

A passenger on a routine flight in the Democratic Republic of Congo was carrying a dangerous package in his sports bag. No, not a bomb. A live crocodile. And since sports bags are not proper containers for transporting crocodiles, the creature tore it and escaped inside the plane.

When passengers saw the animal, panic started. Trying to get to a safe place, the air hostess hurried towards the cockpit. Passengers followed her. At that point they were relatively safe from the baby crocodile, but because of the stampede the small plane was thrown off-balance and crashed into a house, killing 19 passengers and crew.

Only two passengers managed to survive the crash – a man and the crocodile. Unfortunately though, the crocodile was killed minutes later by the rescuers.

And that is the story of how 19 people decided they’d rather die than risk being bitten by a baby crocodile.
