Astrology is not a science, it's bullshit.

By dismissing a recent public interest litigation that challenged astrology as a science, Bombay’s High Court has reaffirmed an earlier ruling by the Supreme Court which said astrology is a science (a systematic knowledge-base or prescriptive practice that is capable of resulting in a correct prediction, or reliably-predictable type of outcome).

“The Supreme Court has already considered the issue and ruled that astrology is science. The court had in 2004 also directed the universities to consider if astrology science can be added to the syllabus. The decision of the apex court is binding on this court.”

At first I thought (and hoped) that I was reading an article by The Onion, but sadly enough it proved to be a real news story. And upon further research, I discovered that astrology really is taught as a science in many universities around India (which is quite sad).

In other news, Bombay’s High Court and the Supreme Court of India are filled with idiots.
