Just a bomb chilling in a book.
If you value your life, be careful what books you read. They could be THE BOMB – literally.
A well-known Indonesian singer (who you’ve never heard of) was sent a mail bomb using an explosive-filled hollowed-out book. I’m not sure how he figured out something was wrong with the package but he alerted local authorities and they managed to defuse the bomb without anyone getting injured. So far, so good. But, this book-bomb attempt was Indonesia’s 4th such incident in less than a week (bookworm much, Indonesia?), which is a worrying frequency.
Thankfully, such tactics would never work in the Western world as nobody reads books anymore, plus it’s impossible to hollow-out e-books. However, it could be done with the next Twilight book, yes it could…. What, I’m just saying.
