Random helicopter picture - not from Libya.

Six SAS officers and two Foreign Office officials suffered a humiliating capture on Friday as anti-Gaddafi militia arrested them soon after their helicopter landed. The group was a diplomatic team trying to meet Libyan rebel forces and assess the humanitarian situation on the ground.

Their capture isn’t surprising when you learn that their approach to entering a volatile situation was to fly in “covertly,” by helicopter, at night, without anyone’s permission or knowledge, while carrying weapons and explosives (which they tried to deny having). And here’s the kicker: they landed the helicopter in an open field. Seriously, guys, that’s how you stay covert?

I hope for their sake that this was a false-flag operation, because the possibility that special forces are led by incompetents is somewhat disturbing.
