I’m not sure what the big deal about speaking with a new accent is, but this woman appears to be devastated by it. I would like to empathize with her, but she needs to get a f***ing grip. She only lost her accent, not an arm or a leg.
If her whole being was defined only by her accent they shouldn’t make a drama out of who she has become, but out of who she used to be.
