I don’t know what’s going on in China, but lately it seems that a lot of Chinese have made a hobby out of making terribly bad decisions. I’m talking about the kid who sold his kidney to buy an iPad and the girl who announced that she’s trading her virginity for an iPhone. I’m also talking about this young couple who met in an internet café, had three children, and then sold all of them to get money to play online games.
The parents, who are both under 21, had two sons and a daughter which they sold for $10,000 (the boys for $4,600 each, the girl for $500).
When asked if they missed their children, the parents answered, “We don’t want to raise them, we just want to sell them for some money.”
Now, some may say the children are better off being away from their parents, given how stupid/addicted to online gaming they are, but the sad truth is that the people going around buying Chinese babies on the black market don’t do so out of love.
