Computer virus targets Iran’s national infrastructure [viruses]

Stuxnet, a worm targeting industrial control systems made by Siemens, is said to have been created by a “nation state” to target Iran’s nuclear power plant and other high value infrastructure.

“With the forensics we now have it is evident and provable that Stuxnet is a directed sabotage attack involving heavy insider knowledge.

This is not some hacker sitting in the basement of his parents’ house. To me, it seems that the resources needed to stage this attack point to a nation state.” – Ralph Langner, industrial computer expert

To whoever wrote that virus, bravo! Given Iran’s leadership, anyone who intelligently sabotages the infrastructure of that country is a hero in my books.
