In news that’s more intense than a Hollywood summer blockbuster, after a Sydney girl got home from school, a stranger wearing a ski mask entered her house and strapped a bomb to her neck. Yes, this is real and that’s how it happened.

Apparently the girl is part of one of Sydney’s wealthiest families and the man who attached the bomb also left a ransom note. There are no details on what the note says, but it took the police and bomb experts 10 hours to free the girl.

Imagine sitting there with a bomb around your neck for that long… it’s like in those movies where a character steps on a land mine, realizes what happened, and then tries to find a way to get free without losing a leg. Except in this case it wasn’t just a leg at stake, it was the brain box.

And here I was thinking my day was horrible because a package I’m expecting is arriving late.
