Carlos Slim, not slim.

Forbes magazine just published their 2011 Billionaires List. This is what it says, in summary:

  • Mexican magnate Carlos Slim is still #1, with $74bn. He has $20.5bn more than he did last year;
  • 200 new billionaires joined the list, bringing the total number of billionaires to 1,210;
  • 6 billionaires are connected to Facebook;
  • Youngest billionaire is Dustin Moskovitz, Facebook co-founder. He’s 8 days younger than Mark Zuckerberg;
  • The billionaire with the biggest drop is Ingvar Kamprad, Ikea founder. He lost $17bn and is now down to $6bn. Went from #11 to #162 in one year;
  • Collective wealth of all billionaires on the list: $4.5 trillion;
  • The US has 413 billionaires, while Asia has 332 and Europe 300. China and Russia have 115 and 101, respectively;
  • Moscow is home to 79 billionaires, the highest density of billionaires in the world.
