"Stay away from my teddy bears!"
So this 62 (or 63?) years old guy cheats hundreds of millions of dollars from investors, gets caught and confesses to using some of the fortune to buy a horse farm, a multi-million dollar house, rare collectibles and around $80,000 worth of German-made Steiff mohair Teddy Bears.
According to a 2008 magazine article, Greenwood’s collection of teddy bears included more than 1,350 Steiff toys. Among them were 74 bears plus birds, cats, insects, dinosaurs, kangaroos, seals, squirrels and many other types of stuffed animals.
You could just imagine the man inviting business partners to his house and saying, “Ah yes, would you please join me and my friends for some tea and we shall begin.” Meanwhile there are like 6 teddy bears at his dinner table with cups in front of them.
