Truth?
I know what it means to be addicted to online games, but man this story is screwed up.
A 33-year-old widow got so addicted to this game called Small World that she refused to cook for her kids, feed her dogs, or do anything else around the house. Eventually her dogs died of starvation and started rotting in her dining room, the kids had nothing else to eat but cold baked beans straight from the tin without any spoons, and the house was starting to look and smell worse than a dumpster. That’s right, she had the bodies of two dogs rotting for two months in her dining room and she didn’t realize something was wrong.
I understand that she was in pain after her husband died and needed something to keep her mind off of it, but seriously, what kind of mother ends up considering a game to be more important than her own children? One of the worst mothers ever, that’s who.
Luckily a neighbor saw that something was off at her house and notified the authorities. The mother was sentenced to six months imprisonment suspended for two years and ordered to do 75 hours unpaid work. She was also banned from keeping animals or having any internet access.
