Happy ending for the puppies thrown in the river [happy endings?]

Remember that crazy girl throwing puppies into the river? Well, it turns out those puppies are now alive and well, as they have been saved by a Bosnian woman.

Five out of the six puppies thrown into the Vrbas river were saved by Ruza Pavlović and they are now healthy and up for adoption. At least that’s what she told the Jutarnji List newspaper.

Now, stop reading here if the above made you go all “awwww.” Because it turns out that story might have been just an attempt at protecting the girl and none of it is true.

“The old lady is next door neighbour of the girl’s family … [my source said] they made a deal to make up that rescue story to ‘save’ the girl.” The obvious hint at the fact that the story is fake is the color of the “saved” puppies: brown and black. The puppies thrown in the river were black and white. Unless brown paint was spilled in that river right when the puppies were thrown in it, I call BS on the save story. They’re puppies, not chameleons.
