Nom.

Royal Marine Liam Brentley was on patrol in Afghanistan when he was shot in the head by a Taliban sniper. The round entered his head near the ear and came out on the other side. He survived the shot, but medics have had part of his skull, jaw and brain tissue removed, and Liam has been left with deafness and memory loss.

Now, because he had insurance, this douchey insurance firm called Chartis has made an initial insurance payout of £1,500 and described his injury as a “flesh wound.”

Noun

  • S: (n) flesh wound (a wound that does not damage important internal organs or shatter any bones)
  • I’m not a medical expert, but I’m pretty sure the brain is an important internal organ. Someone should check the management of that insurance firm and make sure they actually have brains inside their heads.
