I mean, if you don’t read, college is a waste of time (but the parties are fun). And if you do read, college is a waste of time (and you’re not getting party fun either).

My thinking agrees with James Altucher, a hedge fund manager, who I quoted below.

In most cases, what you get out of it is not worth the money, and there are cheaper and better ways to get an education.

And just to make it clear, I’m not against college. I just think there are better alternatives to it. Of course there are risks involved in those alternatives, but hey, everything that’s worth it carries risks (except jumping off a building, that’s all risk and no gain).
