Someone lied to Jay-Z and told him his lyrics are so deep he needs to decode them if he expects his audience to understand his thoughts. Lyrics like “If you’re having girl problems I feel bad for you son / I got 99 problems but a bitch ain’t one” are definitely full of meaning and could give even Schopenhauer and Nietzsche headaches. Amirite?
And regardless of how stupid his book sounds, if his plan is simply to get some people to read a book, any book, then I applaud his initiative.
