It has as many explosions a Michael Bay film.
I wasn’t planning on watching Kanye’s short film, but out of boredom I decided to give it a try. And even though it was trying way too hard to be deep and philosophical, I ended up watching all 35 minutes of it. The crazy high production values combined with the soulful music and the virtually naked chick (Selita Ebanks) worked very well together.
Sure, without the big budget it would have been a complete failure, but as it is I’m going to admit I liked it – even though I didn’t expect to. What it lacked in character depth, story and acting it made up for with appealing visuals and matching music.
It’s a good piece of commercial art, give it a try.
