She can get you high.

U.S. researchers from Syracuse University in collaboration with West Virginia University and a university hospital in Switzerland have discovered that when a person falls in love 12 parts of the brain release euphoria-inducing chemicals that create the same euphoric feeling as cocaine.

The findings, which have been published in the Journal of Sexual Medicine, say that falling in love can take one-fifth of a second, after which the brain starts to release euphoria-inducing chemicals such as dopamine, oxytocin, adrenaline and vasopressin.

So if you’ve ever wanted to experiment with cocaine, forget about it and fall in love. It’s the same high, but cheaper and you don’t get in (legal) trouble for it. Now only if there was a drug to help us fall out of love… everyone would get high on love every day.
