It’s not just women or Asians that can be terrible drivers, American men can be horrific too. This guy did well on his driver exam and was about to pass it, but as he pulled the car in a parking space in front of the driving center to drop off the instructor, he parked in drive instead of park. And when the car started moving forward, he panicked and hit the accelerator instead of the brakes, plowing through the front doors of the DMV (and failing the exam).
Moments after he completed his driver’s test on Wednesday afternoon, a man crashed his car into the glass doors of the license exam center in Collier, his startled instructor still in the passenger seat.
“It was pretty crazy,” said 18-year-old Tyler Cherilla, of Imperial, who was among those waiting to get his license. “I turned around and it had just plowed right into the front. I was just scared for the people who were next to the door.”
For all the aspiring drivers out there: it (the exam) ain’t over ’till it’s over.
