This is so messed up that even though I’m not American and it doesn’t affect me in any way, it’s still making me angry. Probably because it shows so clearly just how disgustingly selfish we humans can be.
So there’s this 59 year old called Leroy Fuck Fick, of Auburn, Michigan. His gross income is below the eligibility requirement for food stamps and as such he is collecting/using them to buy groceries. The food stamps are paid for through tax dollars and are meant to support low income families.
Now here’s the part that will make you want to punch the dude in the face. Last June he won $2 million dollars in a state lottery game. 11 months later, he’s still using food stamps with no intention of stopping. And he doesn’t even feel bad for doing it, even if there are people out there who really need those food stamps to survive.
“If you’re going to try to make me feel bad, you’re not going to do it,” Fick told WNEM-TV in Saginaw on Monday.
It’s shit like this that makes me wish all that Rapture nonsense was real. I’m sure nobody would mind if this scumbag died in an earthquake, a fire, or in some other horrible way.
