After learning that Al-Quaida supporters in the Arabian Peninsula have launched a magazine containing detailed instructions on how to build a bomb, British intelligence took action – in a very British way.
They had a cyber unit from the MI6 hack the magazine’s website and replace the bomb-making instructions with recipes from Ellen DeGeneres’ “The Best Cupcakes in America.”
Unfortunately though, the magazine’s readers didn’t fall for it and no suicide attacks involving cupcakes were attempted. A shame really, because they would have been great! Imagine a terrorist running around in a crowded airport while shouting something about Allah and throwing cupcakes at people. That’s something I would have paid to see!
