Congo. Oil tanker attempts to overtake a bus and flips over, spilling oil. Local residents rush to the scene in an attempt to collect some of the spilling oil, and one of them has the brilliant idea of having a smoke near the tanker. Guess the rest?

That has to be the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard someone do, definitely deserves a Darwin Award.
Its probably one of the best examples of natural selection at work, although most of those people didn’t deserve to die. But perhaps events of this kind will teach them to be safer in the future.
