There’s a new study in the British Journal of Psychiatry which says that only 23% of Britons have no “personality pathology.” That is to say, 77% of them have “personality difficulties,” so according to this study they’re not normal. Wacko nation?
Of 8391 individuals interviewed and their personality status assessed, only a minority (n = 1933, 23%) had no personality pathology.
And yes, I did find it quite hard to believe this too. That is until I found a clip from the 2010 “X Factor” which seemed to illustrate those findings quite well, turning me into a believer (watch the clip below).
