I don’t have anything against religious people, I really don’t, but some of them are simply out of their minds. Like this woman from Tulsa, Oklahoma, who refused to take her diabetic 9 year old son to a doctor because she “felt like God would heal him” and she would prefer to leave his health “in the hands of the Lord.” Her plan worked out just fine, until her son got sick and died from complications of diabetes.
The conclusion of the event is that either she didn’t pray hard enough, or “a casual stroll through the lunatic asylum shows that faith does not prove anything” (Nietzsche). Oh wait I missed one; maybe that was God’s “plan” for her child. Yes, that has to be it (/sarcasm).
Seriously though, if you know anyone that stupid, smack them over the head until they come to their senses.
