Raffaele Bendandi, an Italian seismologist who died in 1979, claimed a huge earthquake will take place on May 11, 2011 and that Rome will be completely destroyed by it.
People didn’t pay much attention to the prophecy at first, but after Japan’s earthquake earlier this year some began to panic. Yesterday, thousands of Romans fled the city and nearly half the shops in some areas were closed. Children skipped school and their parents were away from work.
Guess what though, today is May 11 and Rome is still there, looking the same as it did yesterday.
