The practice of breast ironing refers to the pounding and massaging of a pubescent girl’s breasts using heated objects, in an attempt to make them stop developing or disappear. The purpose of doing it is mainly to avoid early pregnancy, by making the girls appear underdeveloped and unattractive, thus less sexually appealing for males.
