Since nothing in the news captured my interest today (not even the Punjab governor who was assassinated), let’s talk about something everyone’s interested in: cats.
A research project at Ohio State University has revealed that when a cat is upset it plays sick, refusing to eat and vomiting excessively (even though the cat is healthy). The conclusion was reached after Judi Stella, a doctoral candidate in veterinary preventive medicine, observed a group of 20 cats for a period of 77 weeks, tracking correlations between their behavior and stress factors.
Wait, what? 77 weeks with 20 cats? Imagine the lolcat potential of that…
