After a media vehicle from a French TV station swerved right into Juan Antonio Flecha to avoid hitting a tree, the Spanish cyclist crashed into Dutchman Johnny Hoogerland and sent him flying towards a very, very uncomfortable place. . . a roadside barbed wire fence.
Tour de France organizers have banned the vehicle and its driver from the rest of the Tour, but can you imagine what would have happened if the driver wouldn’t have swerved and ended up crashing into that tree? It would have been a carnage.
