A dog covered in toxic sludge.
The Hungarian toxic sludge that has swept through several villages, killing four people and injuring 120, has reached the Danube early today. Sounds terrifying, but officials say the alkalinity of the sludge should dilute significantly as the Danube is a very large river.
Let’s hope they’re not wrong, because in the smaller Marcal river that’s also been affected by the spill, all the fish had died.
