
Brain activity.
Dr. Moran Cerf of UCLA says he and his team have developed a system that is capable of recording higher level brain activity, and that he plans to electronically record and interpret dreams.
It sure would be wonderful to be able to read human minds, but given the messed up world that we live in and the potential for abuse that such technology has, I’m not too sure what to think about it. Should I be excited, or should I be worried?
“We can sail with our imaginations and think about all the things we could do if we had access to a person’s brain and basically visualise their thoughts.
“For example, instead of just having to write an email you could just think it. Or another futuristic application would be to think a flow of information and have it written in front of your eyes.”
